Delicious air fryer empanadas made with a flavorful filling.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cooked and shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour and salt.
- Add butter and water. Knead until smooth.
- Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine chicken, cheese, onion, and cumin.
- Roll dough into circles and fill with the mixture.
- Fold and seal the edges.
- Brush with egg wash.
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Place empanadas in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
