Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 can pineapple slices, drained
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • maraschino cherries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
  5. In a round cake pan, sprinkle brown sugar evenly on the bottom.
  6. Arrange pineapple slices on top of the brown sugar and place cherries in the center of each slice.
  7. Pour the batter over the pineapple slices.
  8. Place the pan in the air fryer and cook for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before inverting onto a plate.
